Terms of Service

1. Who we are

AudioVenture is a personalized audiobook service for family road trips, operated by AudioVenture LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (the "Company," "we," "us"). When you use the AudioVenture website or any audiobook we generate, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What you can do

You may create audiobooks for personal, family, and educational use. You may share the magic-link player URL we send you with family and friends — that's the whole point. The Company grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use, copy, and share the audiobooks we generate for you for non-commercial purposes.

3. What you can't do

  • Resell or re-license the audiobooks commercially without our written permission.
  • Use the service to generate content that is illegal, hateful, or harmful to children.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the wizard or any of our APIs.
  • Bypass rate limits, cost caps, or other technical safeguards.
  • Impersonate another customer or use someone else's payment information.
  • Submit data about children who aren't in your direct care.

4. Your content

You provide us with information about your trip and your kids (names, ages, cities visited, activities) so we can make the audiobook personal. You keep ownership of the input data and the generated audiobook. We use the data only to deliver the service and as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated content

AudioVenture audiobooks are generated by artificial intelligence (large language models for the script, neural text-to-speech for the voices, and image generation for the cartoon). AI sometimes makes mistakes: a factual claim may be slightly off, a pronunciation may be unusual, or a story beat may not land. We do our best to keep quality high, but we do not warrant that every detail is accurate. If something sounds wrong, please tell us and we will fix it where we can.

6. Service availability

We try to keep AudioVenture running smoothly, but we provide it "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, vendor outages (Anthropic, ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Resend, Supabase, Vercel), or unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime.

7. Payment, refunds, and cancellation

See our Refund Policy for the full details. In short: you pay once per audiobook. We process payments via Stripe. You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if you haven't yet listened to any of the audio. After you listen to any day, the order is considered fulfilled and is non-refundable.

8. Children's use (COPPA)

AudioVenture is designed for parents to purchase on behalf of their children. Parents — not kids under 13 — must create the order and provide payment. Children may listen to the audiobooks we produce. See our Kids Notice for how we handle children's information.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or lost expected enjoyment.

10. Account suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, attempt to harm other users, or fail to pay. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your data via the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, send you an email notice if we have your email on file.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. If you live in a jurisdiction where this venue clause is unenforceable, your local consumer-protection laws may apply alongside these Terms.
